Denim Button Down Shirt Kaihara 9oz Indigo Twill Sz Large

Hailing from Japan, this is one of the greatest navy cottons that we've ever sourced. The base yarn is 9oz cotton from Zimbabwe. It splits the difference between a denim and a twill. The fabric is soft and wearable year-round.
The color is a deep indigo blue tone. You'll see it start to fade and gain character after just a few washes. But after a few years... it's going to look incredible. 

From the East Coast, we took the classic "OCBD" - an Ivy League buttondown oxford that's a crucial piece in any wardrobe. From the West Coast: we took gorgeous four-season denim, rugged chainstitch side seams and double-needle reinforcement. The end result is our new "DCBD" shirt (Denim Cloth Buttondown). It combines all of these elements into a supremely wearable wardrobe staple. 

The DCBD Is crafted from start to finish in Los Angeles. It features a traditional button-down collar with an elegant roll. The rear yoke is double stitched and a the back has a locker loop and a rear collar button. The side seams are chainstitched and gussetted... and the hems have a genuine chainstitch runoff thread (you can cut this off if you like).

The fit is on par with our Epaulet outerwear. It's tailored but not tight, and it works well for an athletic build. It's true to size. 

The DBCD shape speaks well to our Doyle jackets. If you take a 40 in our Doyle jacket, then get a Large in this shirt. If you take a 38 Doyle, then get a Medium. And so on...
